sTARTUp Day is the biggest festival in the Baltics which brings together startups, traditional entrepreneurs, investors, innovators, and students. Festival’s goal is to connect startup-minded people to celebrate entrepreneurship in the smart city of Tartu.

Festival has various range of focus topics – from marketing to space tech, fundraising to smart city, etc. In 2019 sTARTUp Day had nearly 4000 attendees, including 120 world-class speakers, 350 startups, 100 investors from 65 different countries all over the world.

sTARTUp Day has been organized since 2016 – it started as an idea to incorporate different business events organized in Tartu to increase the impact of each. It’s a community-organized festival, the core team members are the city of Tartu, University of Tartu, Tartu Science Park, Contriber, Tartu Biotechnology Park, Tartu Business Advisory Services, Tartu Centre for Creative Industries, Ole Rohkem, and Swedbank.

Festival’s slogan is “From Zero to Hero” which goals is to inspire people on their entrepreneurship journey and to start their own business.

Next sTARTUp Day will take place 29-31 January 2020 in Tartu, Estonia.

sTARTUp Day’s international activities introducing Tartu and Estonia as an attractive tourism destination of business and networking are supported by The European Regional Development Fund (30 000 euros for 1 event).
