sTARTUp BioTech is coming again! 

This time sTARTUp BioTech will take place on 9th December 2016 in Tartu, in Estonian National Museum (Muuseumi tee 2) in parallel to the first international business festival sTARTUp Day 2016.

The goal of sTARTUp Biotech is to bring together starting and established entrepreneurs in biotechnology, medicine and veterinary medicine, create synergies and enhance biobusiness. The event focuses on business development and execution of the ideas through intensive mentoring program on site.

We expect mainly students, researchers and novice entrepreneurs in biotechnology and medicine but also a number of people with established sector experience. The number of participants is limited to 100. 

sTARTUp BioTech is a one-day event based on Garage48 and Startup Weekend format, where the teams are formed on spot and all activities are carried out continuously.

There will be short introductory panel on Spotlight stage with:
Andrus Tasa (CEO of Tartu Biotechnology Park),
Indrek Tammeaid (Finsight, Estonian Business Angels Network (EstBAN),
Olaf Gerber (Managing Director UAB Bayer (Lithuania), Bayer SIA (Latvia), Bayer OÜ (Estonia)) and
Erki Mölder (biotechnology entrepreneur, CEO of Unimed Group).

At the end of the day prizes will be given out in following categories:
-       The winner of sTARTUp Biotech
-       Best new idea
-       Best pitch
